This is a simple and effective way to
cure a problem.
Here a window was removed, and an addition added to the
house, the window space becoming the link between the two
rooms.A solid door would have created a dark room on one
side, no door created drafts, so a light screen was the
obvious answer.
The pattern is Chinese and done
by creating a template on a piece of scrap ply which was
then used to draw the full pattern. Then all that was required
was a drill, jig-saw and a sunny weekend to cut it out.
The aluminium frame was ordered to size, and the screen
assembled and installed.

Timber is marine ply with Teak veneer. This sheet of ply
was damaged in transport, so was being thrown away by the
retailer as not usable (what a waste).
Finish is clear polyurethane.
